A Simple Note

This week I was moving to a new office at CPC and came across a note that I’ve saved on my desktop. It is from a young guy - a former colleague who I admire and whose friendship I cherish. It says:
 
Hi Laura,
I came to visit you. You weren’t here. I still love you.
 
Such a simple note, but such a gift – to be remembered and valued. 
 
Mary Kay Ash says, “Everyone has an invisible sign hanging from his neck. It says ‘Make Me Feel Important!’” As leaders it’s our job to create an environment where people feel valued and cared for. 
 
So today I'm trying to be aware and ask myself:
Who in my world needs a reminder that they matter? They add value? That I care? Who is that in your world?
